Purpose and Intention

After the first pioneering of the Outer Heliosphere by spacecraft the increase of knowledge in science and its implication to mankind should be pointed out. The emphasis of the colloquium will be on the following:

• the increase of public interest in heliospheric science
• the improvement of scientific representation to the public
• the scientific and philosophical impact of heliospheric research
• the importance of future heliospheric missions
• the support of cruise science (Cassini, Pluto Express, ...)

To achieve these goals a compendium book readable to a broader public shall be published.
