43rd COSPAR Scientific Assembly

The 43rd COSPAR Scientific Assembly will be held in Sydney, Australia, 15-23 August 2020.  Information on the scientific program and other relevant links, including to abstract submission, will come on-line as they become available at https://www.cospar-assembly.org/. The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) website, for information on registration, accommodation and other matters, is open at http://www.cospar2020.org.

The UAE adheres to COSPAR

On 5 May 2019 the UAE became the newest member of COSPAR with the National Space Science and Technology Center as the national scientific institute. The COSPAR community extends a warm welcome.

4th COSPAR Symposium

COSPAR will hold its fourth Symposium in Herzliya, Israel, 4 - 8 November 2019, with a focus on Small Satellites for Sustainable Science and Development.  Information on the scientific program and other relevant links, including to abstract submission, registration, accommodation, and other matters, are available at http://www.cospar2019.org/Deadline for submission of abstracts:  20 May 2019.

Life Sciences in Space Research (LSSR) Publishes 150th Article!

The editors of LSSR are pleased to announce that COSPAR's newest journal has published its 200th article!.

To celebrate this milestone, there is free online access to LSSR’s current featured article until 11th June 2019: 'Beyond planetary protection: What is planetary sustainability and what are its implications for space research?'

More exciting news for LSSR - the journal has been accepted for SCIE, Science Citation Index Expanded, and will receive its first Impact Factor (for 2018) this year. The journal is already included in MEDLINE/PubMed.

Advances in Space Research: 2017 Impact Factor

The 2017 Impact Factor for ASR is 1.529, up from 1.401 in 2016, a 9% increase and at its highest ever.
