The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), with the support of the University Space Engineering Consortium (UNISEC), have been organizing KiboCUBE Academy, to provide free education to support the people who are interested in learning about the theoretical knowledge to develop, operate, and utilize small satellites.  The next KiboCUBE Academy workshop will be organized on 30 November 2024, in Stellenbosch, South Africa. At this workshop, we will use a CubeSat training tool called “HETPA-sat” and learn how to develop a CubeSat.  https://www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/ourwork/access2space4all/access2space4all/KiboCUBE_Academy_Webinars/onsite2024.html Deadline for registration is Wednesday, 20 November 2024 (CET).

The International Space Science Institute (ISSI) in Bern, Switzerland invites applications for the 2025 Johannes Geiss Fellowship (JGF25). With this fellowship ISSI honours the memory of Johannes Geiss, the founder of ISSI, and his contributions to the space sciences. The fellowship aims to attract internationally renowned scientists to make a significant contribution to the ISSI mission by pursuing ambitious independent research, in any of the disciplines that are part of ISSI’s core mission: Astrophysics, Heliophysics, Planetary Sciences and Earth Science.  All applications must be received by ISSI no later than October 18, 2024.

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Government of Japan, supported by the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) are pleased to announce the opening of the 2025 round for the United Nations/Japan Post-graduate Study on Nano-Satellite Technologies (PNST) Fellowship Programme!  The PNST Programme will accept up to three students in the Master’s Programme (2 years duration) and up to three students in the Doctoral Programme (3 years duration) to enroll in the Space Engineering International Course (SEIC) of Kyutech and gain the hands-on experience of going through the entire life cycle of nano-satellite development.  Please read all the information on the PNST Rounds page carefully and apply for this wonderful opportunity.  Deadline for applications is Sunday, 1 December 2024, 23:59 Japan Standard Time (JST).
